Abstract

This study aims to design an Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) for Islamic-based educational institutions, specifically at the Junior High School of Pondok Pesantren Modern Al Kautsar Tanjungpinang, in preparation for the accreditation process. The study integrates educational quality management theory with field practices, incorporating Islamic values into institutional quality development. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using a case study method, involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that effective IQAS design must follow the PPEPP cycle (Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Improvement) and be supported by Islamic values such as trustworthiness (amanah), excellence (ihsan), deliberation (musyawarah), and integrity. This research also proposes quality improvement strategies based on SWOT analysis, the strengthening of a quality culture, and the development of monitoring and evaluation instruments that can be implemented by similar institutions.
